Through the Glass I

<img src="http://everyday-wonders.com/images/gallery/125/320_02.jpg">
Kojun | 2008-09-01 09:46:24

I stared at this one for a while; it reminded me of those fun house mirrors that are curved and bend the reflection to all kinds of fun shapes :-) What fascinated me was the way you captured the effect of the mirror, but included the wall along the top and bottom; it is almost like looking at the reflection in a pool of water!

The blend of symmetric and asymmetric qualities of the reflection are awesome. I see the depth of the street behind you, bent and distorted through the reflective surface. Very, very cool!

luminescence

<img src="http://everyday-wonders.com/images/gallery/125/230_11.jpg">
Kojun | 2008-09-01 09:35:16

The above comments finally help me understand why you take so much time for your shots; you are looking at angles and framing up front. It is more work up front, of course, but the final photograph requires little or no cropping. Personally, I think this requires more skill, since you have to envision the final image up front, and you do it wonderfully :-)

I love the leaves you picked for this composition. There is a wonderful blend of reds and greens, as well as a touch of yellow. Plus I love how the light dances off of the leaves to the left, and how out-of-focus branch to right adds character to what could have been a dull background. Wonderful!
